Canon annuncia EOS C300 Mark II, una nuova videocamera 4K che permette a registi e produttori broadcast di catturare la loro visione creativa con un fantastico dettaglio cinematografico. Sulla scia del successo senza precedenti di EOS C300, la nuova EOS C300 Mark II è dotata di un doppio processore DIGIC DV5, nuovi codec professionali e una straordinaria gamma dinamica che la rende la videocamera Cinema EOS più flessibile e performante. Suprema qualità d'immagine 4K e versatilità Con la possibilità di registrare internamente file in 4K a 10 bit 4:2:2 fino a 410 Mbps, o file 10/12 bit 4:4:4 in 2K/Full HD e con ben 15 stop di gamma dinamica, EOS C300 Mark II produce filmati adatti a un accurato lavoro di post-produzione, con immagini più nitide, con maggiore dettaglio e migliore resa cromatica. La videocamera offre a registi e broadcaster la migliore qualità d'immagine, riprendendo in 4K sia in formato 16:9 (3840 x 2160) sia a risoluzione cinematografica DCI 1,89:1 (4096 x 2160). EOS C300 Mark II può registrare internamente file 4K con alto bit-rate su supporto CFast 2.0™¹ e contemporaneamente registrare file RAW 4K su un registratore esterno, offrendo allo stesso tempo grande flessibilità e la sicurezza della massima qualità RAW. Inoltre, la possibilità di registrare contemporaneamente file Proxy 2K/Full HD su una scheda SD interna semplifica ulteriormente il workflow di produzione. Il nuovo sensore CMOS Super 35 mm progettato da Canon e il valore ISO che raggiunge 102.400 offrono eccezionali prestazioni in presenza di scarsa illuminazione, consentendo agli operatori di acquisire filmati con ridotto rumore in una varietà di ambienti difficili, senza compromettere la qualità dell'immagine. Per soddisfare le esigenze di una vasta gamma di applicazioni di ripresa, EOS C300 Mark II offre sia il pieno controllo manuale, ideale per ambienti cinematografici, sia comode modalità automatiche. Queste includono un migliorato Dual Pixel CMOS AF (ora copre circa l’80% dell’inquadratura verticale e l’80% di quella orizzontale), bilanciamento del bianco automatico e Face Detection AF: il tutto per rendere più agevole la ripresa in movimento a reporter e documentaristi indipendenti. Integrazione immediata nei flussi di lavoro professionali La nuova gamma di codec Canon XF-AVC H.264, progettata per essere compatibile con gli standard del settore nei sistemi di editing non lineari, rende possibile senza alcuno sforzo l’integrazione dei filmati 4K e 2K/Full HD nei workflow esistenti, mantenendo tuttavia la massima qualità d'immagine. La gamma comprende XF-AVC intra per 4K e le opzioni XF-AVC Long GOP e Proxy per registrazione 2K/Full HD. Entrambe le versioni utilizzano il codec H.264 che offre flessibilità in post produzione e facilità d'uso. EOS C300 Mark II è inoltre in grado di riprendere fino a 30P in 4K o fino a 120P in 2K/Full HD. L’operatore può quindi selezionare il tipo di risoluzione e le opzioni che meglio si adattano alla produzione. EOS C300 Mark II offre compatibilità con varie opzioni di spazio colore, tra cui BT.2020, Canon Cinema Gamut e DCI-P3. Questa videocamera è anche il primo modello Cinema EOS a essere caratterizzato dalla nuova tecnologia Canon Log2, che consente 15 stop di gamma dinamica, notevolmente più ampia rispetto ai precedenti modelli Cinema EOS. La videocamera offre maggiore versatilità anche per registrare l’audio, supportando la registrazione a 4 canali a 16 o 24 bit e 48 kHz. Progettata per la versatilità EOS C300 Mark II mantiene e al contempo migliora il design vincente della serie Cinema EOS, basato su di un corpo modulare che può essere adattato per soddisfare le esigenze di ogni operatore attraverso una vasta gamma di accessori. EOS C300 Mark II incorpora anche un filtro ND (densità neutra) in vetro a controllo elettronico, che riduce fino a 10 stop la quantità di luce che raggiunge il sensore. La compatibilità con il telecomando RC-V100 e il controllo Wi-Fi opzionale consentono grande facilità d'uso in un’ampia gamma di location. La velocità di lettura (read-out) del nuovo sensore CMOS è ora due volte maggiore rispetto a EOS C300, e riduce ulteriormente la distorsione rolling shutter, consentendo l'acquisizione di immagini perfette anche in ambienti dinamici, il che la rende ideale anche per l'acquisizione di sequenze d'azione. Grazie al ricco patrimonio Canon nella progettazione ottica, EOS C300 Mark II è compatibile con oltre 90 obiettivi EF ed EF Cinema per consentire agli operatori di utilizzare i loro obiettivi con innesto EF. Inoltre, EOS C300 Mark II è compatibile con i nuovi Canon Cine servo zoom, offrendo così una delle selezioni più complete di obiettivi per film e produzioni broadcast disponibili oggi sul mercato. Per una maggiore flessibilità, i filmaker possono scegliere di sostituire l’innesto di default dell'obiettivo da EF a EF Mount con Cinema Lock o a PL standard come opzione di servizio². Autofocus has been further enhanced with the ability to select the AF speed (with compatible lenses) and AF subject tracking characteristics ensuring that focusing is more natural.

  Shoot anywhere and capture low-noise footage in all kinds of challenging shooting scenarios thanks to a wide ISO range up to ISO 102,400 that delivers enhanced sensitivity and unrivalled low-light performance. Built-in ND filters provide a possible further 10 stops of exposure control (in expansion mode) in bright light or when a wide aperture is required.

  REDUCED ROLLING SHUTTER ARTEFACTS

  XF-AVC FORMAT

  Canon’s XF-AVC is a highly versatile and 4K capable file format that uses the efficient H.264 codec to deliver superior image quality at high bit rates, enabling EOS C300 Mark II to record 4K footage at up to 410 Mbps, at 30p. The newly developed XF-AVC file format is easily integrated into existing workflows, while simultaneous recording of 2K or Full HD Proxy files to the SD card in the same format, further increases efficiency in post-production.

  CANON LOG2

  The Canon Log2 gamma profile increases the range of creative possibilities by achieving a uniform output in a wide area of the log space, giving greater flexibility in post-production processing. It does this by widening the dynamic range by up to 15 stops, enabling the extremes of highlight and shadow details to be recorded, extending the scope of colour grading.

  DUAL DIGIC DV5

  
  Using Canon’s Dual DIGIC DV5 processors, EOS C300 Mark II has significantly more processing capability than the previous processor, enabling high bit rate 4K movies to be recorded, together with support for Log2 and many other key camera functions.  

  DUAL PIXEL CMOS AF

  
  Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF offers improved performance and incredible control with minimal effort thanks to an expanded focusing area that covers approx. 80% (vertically) x 80% (horizontally) of the image display on the screen. This means users can select the autofocus frame and move it to the desired location within this expanded focusing area, via the 4-direction key for AF shooting. Dual Pixel CMOS AF enables fast and accurate continuous AF and also supports Face Detection AF, which responds to the face of a subject – making interviews and pieces to camera simple for individual filmmakers.

  OVER SAMPLING HD PROCESSING

  Over Sampling HD Processing is an advanced debayering algorithm for image processing that effectively utilises the abundant powers of 4K image capture in Full HD recording. The camera captures a 4K image, the RGB channels are separated into three individual 8 megapixel 4K signals and the 4K RGB signals are then multiplexed and scaled down internally into a Full HD (1920x1080) signal. This improves the perceived resolution and allows you to record a significantly cleaner Full HD image.
